Easy Online Enrollment
The Commuter Benefits program is managed by the University’s service provider, Jawnt. Enrollment is simple. To register for a monthly transit fare product, visit the Commuter Benefits portal using your PennKey, then enroll in the service of your choice. Passes purchased by the 19th of the month are effective on the first of the following month. For example, passes purchased by October 19 are effective November 1. Your elections will auto renew until canceled.

To register:
- Sign in to the Commuter Benefits Portal using your PennKey and password.
- Under Available Benefits, select your transit option(s) and click Enroll.
- Follow the steps to complete Enrollment.

Other Information for SEPTA Riders
A SEPTA Key Card is necessary for enrollment. Cards can be purchased at the SEPTA Kiosk located in the Penn Bookstore and SEPTA locations throughout Philadelphia. If you already have a SEPTA Key Card and utilize the SEPTA Travel Wallet, you will not be able to access funds in your SEPTA Travel Wallet as long as you also have a SEPTA Monthly pass. Therefore, you may wish to consider spending down any Travel Wallet funds currently on your Key Card before enrolling in the Commuter Benefits program and canceling any auto-reload settings that you may have enabled.

The Health Equity/Wage Works Commuter Card remains an option for full-time benefits eligible employees and post doctoral researcher and fellows at a 5% discount ($105 maximum) .
