Penn Offers Discounts for Carpooling
Full-time, benefits-eligible faculty and staff may participate and take advantage of car pooling discounts. Interested commuters looking to form a carpool only need a single driver with a permit to begin the registration process. Once a driver has a permit, the driver can register other group member to become a carpool. Note: commuters carpooling will receive priority when applying for a new permit.
Registration is on an annual basis and each carpool member will receive a pre-tax deduction via payroll. Carpool discounts: 25% for a two-person carpool; 50% for a three-person carpool; or 75% for a four-person carpool. Discounts are subject to change.

To complete the form, you will need the PennCard ID and payment information for each participant.Complete Application
Visit the Penn Transportation and Parking Office
After completing the online application, all participants in the carpool must visit the Penn Transportation and Parking Office, 3401 Walnut Street, Suite 447A to get parking credentials and verify their payroll deduction information. Please be sure to bring Penn IDs (PennCards).
