Are students eligible to purchase JMP?

How do I purchase JMP?

OSL has developed a new Kivuto Licensing Portal that allows for orders to be placed for this and most other software titles, allowing payment via BEN budget code. Please visit the How to Order page for directions.

How do I start using JMP?

After you purchase JMP, instructions on how to download and install the software will be provided on the Kivuto Website. Those instructions are reprinted below for your convenience.

If you are a returning user and wish to continue using the JMP version you currently have, download the SID file for the Mac or Windows. Save this .txt file for the next step.

  1. Right-click the JMP icon and select "Run as Administrator".
  2. Note: For licenses that have not yet expired,
    a. first navigate to File ► New ► Script,
    b. then run the following script: Renew License();

(Adding an administrator's name is optional.)

To view the current expiration date, go to:
Help ► About JMP (For Windows) JMP ► About JMP (For Macintosh).

If you are a new user and wish to install the latest version of JMP, download the full version of JMP for Mac or Windows. Follow the instructions presented by the installation wizard.

I am receiving a message that I am unable to save the PER file. What does that mean?

This means that you need to be a Windows Administrator in order to install JMP on a Windows system.

Due to recent Windows updates, it is sometimes necessary to license JMP through the Run As Administrator prompt even if you are signed in as the Administrator.

To do this follow the instructions below:

Reboot the computer
Sign in.
Right-click on the JMP Icon
Select Run As Administrator
Click (OK) to Continue
Once JMP opens up and prompts for the license file follow the normal process.
