  • At Commencement,graduates will be wearing regalia made out of recycled plastic bottles, Business Services arranged for these sustainable, yet comfortable gowns to be available at Penn.

PennMOVES starts May 1

Business Services is once again pleased to announce the start of PennMOVES, the University's annual collection of items students can't take with them when they leave campus. Rather than throwing them in the trash, students donate the items which are then sold at a giant Community Sale on June 2. We are again collaborating with Good will industries to help organize and manage the effort and proceeds from the sale will benefit their local programs. Farmer's Market at University Square starts May 2

 

The campus Farmers’ Market at University Square (outside the Penn Bookstore) begins May 2 and will be open 9 am to 4 pm every Wednesday until late November or early December. This year the Market will feature two new vendors – Big Sky Bakery and the Community Grower’s Alliance in addition to old favorites such as Beechwood Orchards, Hilltop Gardens and John & Kiras.

 
Penn Home Ownership Services launches Greening Penn at Home

 

Penn Home Ownership Services has joined with Mark Group,  the region’s largest provider of home energy efficiency analysis and improvement, to offer a new program to Penn faculty, staff and Health System employees.   Under Greening Penn at Home, Mark Group will offer the Penn community on-campus educational sessions, free home energy assessments and energy efficiency home improvements at preferred rates.  For more information visit: www.markgroupusa.com/phosgreen.
