General Information on Parking Permits Student Parking Permits

Student parking permits are issued on an annual basis valid from September 1 through August 31, on an academic year basis valid from September 1 through May 31, or for summer parking (sessions I & II or full summer).

Students may apply for:

  • Daily/Commuter Parking
  • Evening Parking
  • 24-Hour Parking
  • Motorcycle Parking

Students may charge the total applicable parking fees to their SFS Account or may pay by credit card at the Parking Office only.

Appropriate parking lots for students are determined based on where the student lives (24-hour students) or where the student's classes are located (commuting students). Student parking is limited to the following locations:

  • Commuter students: Law Lot and Walnut 40 Garage
  • 24-Hour students: Walnut 32 Garage; Walnut 40 Garage.
  • Evening students: Law Lot
  • Nursing School and Vet School students: Spruce 38 Garage

To Apply for Parking

Step 1.

Order Parking through Campus Express

Students should go to Campus Express and complete the application form. The form can be found under "About Transportation Options" in the "My Transportation Section." You will need to designate your preferred lot. To see lots consult the Parking Map.

Step 2.

Wait for Email Notification

You will receive an email notification indicating that your permit and lot choice has been approved. (Note: You are not guaranteed to get your preferred lot choice.)

Step 3.

Visit the Penn Parking Office, 3401 Walnut St. Ste. 447A, to get your parking credentials.

Students may pay using their Bursar account or by credit card. If you choose to pay via credit card, your payment will be processed when you come to the office to pick up your credentials
