Left Bank Guest Apartments - 3131 Walnut StreetThe following policies govern Left Bank Guest Apartments, located at 3131 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Please read these items as well as the Occupancy Agreement carefully before applying DescriptionThese dramatic upper-floor, luxuriously appointed loft apartments feature 12 ft. ceilings, new flooring, Euro-style kitchens and expansive window walls that fill each apartment with natural light and showcase sweeping views of the city skyline on the Penn campus. EligibilityLeft Bank Apartments are available for use by official visitors and guests affiliated with the University and require a four (4) week minimum stay. Visiting researchers, scholars, consultants, and new appointees meet this eligibility requirement. In order to stay in the guest accommodations, you are required to have a Penn Sponsor. This sponsor is not required to pay for your stay but may do so by providing a budget code. Your sponsor is required to email us a letter confirming your affiliation and dates of stay. This letter should be emailed to bsd-confsvcs@pobox.upenn.edu in a PDF format. Please note that your application will not be reviewed until we have received your letter. Reservation ProcessAvailability and reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a completed web application (which implies an understanding of these Policies and Procedures as well as the terms of the Occupancy Agreement), sponsorship letter, and deposit. Submission of an application does not guarantee your placement into a Left Bank Apartment. Reservations are deemed definite only upon your receipt of a confirmation email generated by Conference Services. A rental period can be extended based on availability. Although we try to meet guests' requests, specific room types cannot be guaranteed. Terms of Residence & Occupancy AgreementGuests in Left Bank Guest Apartments are subject to terms and conditions of these Rules and Regulations as well as the Terms of Agreement.
Persons with a disability and requiring a dog with them to live independently are the only exception. Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside its residences or within 20 feet of their doors or windows. You may check in anytime on your scheduled arrival date as the front desk is opened 24 hours a day. Check-out is scheduled for 10 a.m. on your departure date. Deposits/Rent Schedule/Cancellation/Early Termination The deposit, which must accompany the application, is two full months rent or the full payment for stays shorter than two months. This deposit holds the room and is eventually applied towards the first and last month's rent of the guest's stay. Thereafter, rent is due on the 15th of every month for the following month(s). For occupancy of any part of a week, a full week's rent will be charged. Current Rates

Acceptable forms of payment (USD) include: credit cards, University Journal Entry, International Postal Money Order, checks drawn from a U.S. bank, traveler's checks, and wire transfers. Checks, money orders, and traveler's checks are to be made payable to Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and mailed to Hospitality Services, Attn: Katie Xhori, University of Pennsylvania, Suite Sanw 201, 333 Walnut St. Philadelphia, PA 19104-9999.
