What are the hours of operation?
Hours of operation are 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. The Center offers partial week schedules with a minimum of a two day schedule. We do not offer partial day schedules.

What age groups are eligible to attend PCC?
There are three age groupings. We do not have a kindergarten program. Children are enrolled throughout the year. Click here for additional information .
  • Infant—3 months to 1 year
  • Toddler—1 year - 3 years
  • Pre-school—3 years to 5 years

 

Is enrollment open to anyone?
Enrollment is open to all members of the University and surrounding communities, but preference is given to Penn faculty, staff and students.

Does PCC have a waitlist?
There currently is a waitlist for all age groups.

What is the PCC waitlist process?
When your application is received together with your $25 application fee, you are automatically on our waitlist. In order to remain on the waitlist, families are required to “check in“ with the Center on a monthly basis. Failure to do so will result in being removed from the waitlist.

Does PCC offer any fee assistance?
To help mitigate costs for Penn families who cannot afford the tuition, a sliding fee/tuition reduction program exists. These rates are available to those families meeting eligibility requirements. Fee assistance applications are completed at time of enrollment. Click here for additional details.

Does PCC accept enrollment that may be publicly funded?
PCC accepts enrollment of families receiving publicly funded childcare subsidy from various agencies.

Which food items are included in PCC tuition?
PCC provides a morning and afternoon snack for toddler and pre-school age children. Infant formula (Similac & Enfamil) is inclusive in the tuition for the infants.

PCC is a nut free environment.

PCC is administered by Business Services, a division under the Office of the Executive Vice President.

What background checks are completed on staff members?
All staff are University employees and a background and criminal history check is completed on each staff member, volunteers as well.
