NAEYC

The National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) is designed to bring early childhood educators, programs, families, communities and other groups together in an effort to improve the quality of children’s experiences in early childhood settings. Both NAEYC and Penn Children’s Center philosophy is grounded by extensive research in the Early Childhood field for what is considered developmentally appropriate and high quality care. Ongoing professional development of staff and a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of the children are key goals for the Center and continuous self-assessment is an integral part of our program. The Penn Children’s Center is among the elite group of NAEYC Accredited programs since July 1994. Currently, PCC is accredited until 2024.
