All members of the Penn community have the option to choose any bank that they wish—there are no requirements by the University that faculty, staff, or students bank at any particular financial institution. There are several banks on or near campus, and throughout the city that you might wish to consider.
Penn has long-standing relationships with two such institutions—PNC Bank and the Student Federal Credit Union at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to other benefits from these organizations, account holders at these two institutions can link their PennCards to their checking or savings accounts for added convenience.
PNC Bank offers many benefits to Penn Students, faculty and staff. Visit the PNC representative in the PennCard Center, go to www.pncbank.com/penn, or call 215-573-5146.
In exchange for the opportunity to promote its programs to the University Community, PNC provides Penn with financial contributions that Penn uses to sustain important student programs and other University initiatives.
Student Federal Credit Union (SFCU) provides competitive quality, full-service banking to all Penn students and alumni. Contact member services at 215-222-2604 or visit www.upennsfcu.org.
Banking Relationship Disclosures: Penn complies with the U.S. Department of Education's guidelines in making information on its marketing relationships with financial institutions publicly available. Such disclosures can be found here.
