Residential Dining

Our residential dining cafés are all-you-care-to-eat, meaning a guest can eat as much or as little as they like.  Penn has five residential cafés throughout campus. Guests who have dining plans, which are comprised of various amounts of visits (also known as “meals” or “swipes”) and Dining Dollars, will have one visit deducted from their balances each time they enter the all-you-care-to-eat café.  To gain entry, the guest’s PennCard is swiped at the entrance of each all-you-care-to-eat dining café, where the visit is deducted electronically.

At Penn Dining, we also offer "meal equivalency" which allows students to purchase a bundle of items (example: combinations of entrée, sides, bottled beverage, dessert) from one of our select retail locations, for the cost of one meal swipe.  Meal equivalency is offered at Gourmet Grocer in 1920 Commons.
