You can download the free PennRides on Request rideshare app by visiting the IOS App Store or Google Play Store.  Just look for the PennRides on Request listing.


Members of the Penn Community with valid PennKeys are eligible to use the PennRides on Request mobile application. You will be asked to input your PennKey and password in order to request a ride via the app.

University of Sciences passengers will be prompted to enter their own sign-in information.

Pennovation Works cardholders can utlize Penn Transit's on-demand services by calling 215-898-RIDE/7433.

All passengers are required to show their institutional ID card to board a Penn Transit vehicle. 


PennRides on Request supports Penn Evening Shuttles, Pennovation Works Shuttle, A.M. Medical, and Penn Accessible Transit (PAT). 


Visit the privacy policy from the vendor that provides the mobile application’s technology.

Apple devices should have iOS 9.0 at a minimum to enjoy the app’s full functionality.  Droid mobile devices require at least 5.1 to run PennRides on Request correctly. 

Additionally, it is recommended that app users be sure to review their mobile device settings to accept push notifications.  Another helpful hint to maximize the app's functionality is to allow background refresh on your device.
