Mail Services

Correctly addressed first class mail is sorted into student mailboxes Monday through Friday by Datrose, Inc, an outside vendor contracted to manage residential mail and parcel delivery.

Packages are delivered Monday - Saturday to residential package rooms. Residents are notified of package deliveries via email or by package slip placed in their mailbox. 

Packages and accountable mail (registered, certified, etc) are inventoried and addressees verified to be residents before any notification is sent to the resident to pick up a parcel.  

Correct addressing of mail and packages is critical to insure prompt delivery to our residents.

Residents can view their on campus mailing address by logging into Campus Express and choosing the "My Housing" tab.

USPS Confirmation and other Delivery Options

US Postal Service "Delivery Confirmation" services for mail sent to a College House or Sansom resident apply only for delivery to the Philadelphia Postal substation, and not for final delivery to the Penn residence.  Services such as UPS, FedEx and DHL deliver directly to campus, with more accurate confirmation options.

Shipping To Campus: Amazon@Penn, Personal Ship 

New options for getting items shipped to campus make things so convenient: 

Amazon@Penn offers the Penn community a convenient and secure location to pick up and return Amazon orders, including virtually everything one needs from everyday essentials to technology.

Additionally, Amazon Student and Prime Members will receive free same day pickup of orders place by noon on over two million items.

Amazon@Penn is open at 1920 Commons seven days a week, M-F, from 9 am - 9 pm, and on Saturday-Sunday from noon-9 pm. Learn more at Amazon@Penn 

Our Info Centers accept delivery of these items only when delivered by a local vendor. After the items are logged in, the Info Center will contact the resident for pick up.

Penn Personal Ship allows you to take advantage of Penn's discounted rates by signing up for PersonalShip at Can be used for UPS and DHL shipping


Flowers, plants, fruit arrangements or baskets, baked goods or similar items should be sent through local vendors or carriers as our Info Centers accept delivery of these items only through delivery by these vendors. After the items are logged in, the Info Center will contact the resident for pick up.

Residents are asked to pick up any perishable delivery as soon as possible. 

High Volume Periods:

Alternate package notification may be used during high volume periods such as Move In.

Typically the resident may receive a package slip in their student mailboxes, or may check a delivery list posted at an auxiliary pick-up location.

Move In parcel pickup: Quad, Stouffer and Hamilton Village residents may be notified to pick up parcels at auxiliary parcel trailers during move in. If you live in one of these areas, watch for an email invitation to register on the "Package Log" portal. Doing this before you pick up your parcels will expedite your actual pick up process.
