Graduate Student January Move-In

Students moving in for the Spring 2020 Semester may begin moving in on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 9am.  There is no early move-in for the start of the Spring Semester in January.

Keys and Check-In

Keys are available at your building Information Center, open 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Moving Carts

A limited amount of moving carts will be available at the Info Center for residents to borrow for one hour while moving in or moving back. It is suggested that you bring a hand truck or similar item to assist you in moving your belongings. If you borrow a cart, please be respectful of the needs of other residents by returning it on time. Charges will be assessed for carts returned late or not returned at all.

Unloading Access to Residences

Streets will not be posted for unloading for January reopening. Please observe City of Philadelphia and University parking regulations if driving upon your return to campus.

New Residents and Guests: Building Access

If you are a new resident and do not yet have a PennCard, your room assignment and occupancy can be verified at the Information Center of your building. If you do not yet have a PennCard, you will need a valid photo ID to check into your room and to access the building. The Information Center staff will verify your access until you obtain a PennCard. PennCards can be obtained at the PennCard Center in the Penn Bookstore at 36th and Walnut Streets. PennCard Center hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

Anyone who is not a resident of the building or does not have a valid PennCard at the portal is considered a guest. Residents will be able to sign in guests at the Information Center, following established guest access procedures.

Guests must have a valid form of photo ID to be signed in and must be accompanied by a building resident host at all times. Guests should expect to present their ID for sign-in and for physical verification upon each entry.
