Accessing Penn Eats Mobile Ordering

Penn Eats is the official mobile ordering app for Penn Dining.  Download via your Apple or Android device and get started ordering from your favorite Penn Dining locations.

Search "Transact Mobile Ordering" in the app store, and once downloaded you can select the University of Pennsylvania as your location.  When creating your account, link it with your Dining Dollars for easy use.  To make sure everything is linked properly, you must make sure you use the email address listed in your public profile in the Penn Directory.

Once you've downloaded and setup Penn Eats, you will be able to order ahead, pay ahead, and schedule your arrival time or reserve your seat for indoor dining.

We currently offer pick-up reservations or indoor seating reservations at 1920 Commons.  Mobile Order Pick-Up is available at Starbucks at 1920 Commons.

Indoor Dining Reservations

Penn Dining is now offering limited inside seating in 1920 Commons. Indoor dining will only be open to diners who have made a seating reservation using the Penn Eats Mobile Ordering App.  Diners will only be allowed to remain in the space for 30 minutes.

Instructions for reserving and accessing your seating:

1. Diners use the Penn Eats App to reserve seating.

2. Once you make a reservation, you will receive a QR code within the app.

3. Upon arrival, you will show the QR code to your cashier. By checking in the QR code, you are also being charged a meal swipe.

4. After scanning in the QR code you will be given a number which will indicate which table is yours.

5. After being scanned in and receiving your table number, you will collect your meals and then go to the seating area and show the table number to the staff member.

6. All tables will have a number and a token which is green on one side and red on the other. A green token indicates the table has been sanitized and is ready for use. A red token indicates the table needs to be cleaned.

7. Once your time is up, you will receive another reminder that it is time to leave. Turn the disk to red and remove your trash and recycling. Leave by the designated exit. At the bottom of the stairs, there will be a scanner. We ask that you scan yourself out to complete the process.

Should you have questions during this process, a designated staff member will be on premises to assist you. Additional information is also available on our website.
