Discounts are available to full-time students from SEPTA and New Jersey Transit.
Full-time Penn students may purchase a PennPass for specific service zones for semester-long discounted travel on SEPTA, Philadelphia's regional public transportation system. SEPTA buses, trolleys and trains offer frequent service from the University's campus to virtually all cultural, shopping and recreational venues throughout Philadelphia, the surrounding suburbs, Trenton, New Jersey (for connecting service to New York), Wilmington and Newark, Delaware. Pick up: Penn Parking Services Office, 3401 Walnut Street, 4th floor, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:45 pm. (Building entrance is next to Starbucks on the corner of 34th & Walnut Streets.) Please bring your PennCard.
Cost per semester: If you commute to campus or have other reasons to use SEPTA frequently, a PennPass can save you money. The PennPass is only offered for the fall and spring semesters. For SEPTA's website, click here.
New Jersey Transit
Full-time students are also eligible for a 25% discount on NJ Transit, New Jersey's public transportation system. A special Quik-Tik program is a fast, easy way to buy a monthly discounted pass which is mailed to your automatically each month. This program is administered by New Jersey Transit.
