Tips for making it work and to keep traffic moving:
Drivers must stay with their car, once unloaded they must move to remote lots where they will be able to park for the remainder of the day at no cost. Directions to remote lots will be posted on the RHS website in late July.
Checking In, Key Pick Up, Guest Passes:
What: Resident will present a photo ID to check in and obtain room keys,
Where: The white check-in tent located on the walkway outside of the 36th Street Archway entrance to the Lower Quad.
They should do this while the car is being unloaded.
Residents may pick up guest passes at the check in table. They must presenting photo IDs for each of their guests. If the guests would like to pick up their own passes, they may do so at any time by presenting their own photo IDs at this location.
All residents of the Quad receive a room key and an additional key that opens the exterior door to their assigned building as well as the bathrooms.
Most Quad rooms are accessible only via the stairwells into the complex. There are some changes in floor levels accomplished by steps throughout the building.
There are two elevators in the Quad, in Bodine and Ashurst. These elevators serve a limited range of student rooms and do not provide primary access to the upper areas of much of the Quad.
Packing in small boxes and distributing weight across these may make moving in easier.
Campus wide operations end on August 28, including parking access and complimentary lot parking.
For all other dates, residents should plan to park and pay at City of Philadelphia kiosk managed spaces and to be careful of parking restrictions and times.
