Penn Transit

Penn Transit's comprehensive system provides effective, efficient and safe integrated transit on and around campus within specific service boundaries. Transit Services are free to all members of the Penn Community possessing a valid PennCard. Buses and shuttles operate 7 days a week (except University holidays) between 4:45 P.M. and 3 A.M. (depending on routes).

Penn buses operate Monday through Friday on a fixed schedule and an established route, picking up and delivering passengers at designated stops on campus and at any intersection with a stop sign or light along its route off campus.

Penn Shuttles provide transportation to and from campus to West Philadelphia, Center City and Powelton Village within defined boundaries 7 days a week.

Walking Escort Service—Division of Public Safety

Specially trained uniformed security officers will accompany you on campus to a Penn Transit Stop or to a SEPTA regional transit stop. Walking Escort operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. For Walking Escort call

Penn Accessible Transit (PAT)

Penn Accessible Transit (PAT), is a service of Penn Transit which  provides transportation within service boundaries for persons with disabilities. To obtain approval to use PAT, please contact the appropriate office listed below.
