|Types of Permits|
There are several different types of parking permits offered for University parking lots and facilities.
Daily Parking Permits
These permits are issued to faculty, staff and students for parking during normal business hours in assigned University parking facilities.
Evening and Weekend Parking Permits
These permits are available for purchase for two semesters or annually and they are valid on weekdays after 5 p.m. and all day on weekends. These permits are honored in any of our surface parking lots, provided space is available and vehicles are parked in legitimate striped parking spaces. Unless otherwise noted, evening/weekend parking is prohibited in all University lots and garages where access is controlled by a parking attendant, a barrier gate or an overhead garage door.
During special events (e.g. sporting events, graduation) lots may be operated as cash lots.
Motorcycle Parking Permits
These permits are issued for either daily or commuter access. Different rates apply.
These permits are issued on an annual basis valid from September 1 through August 31, or on an academic year basis valid from September 1 through May 31. Students may apply for any of the permits listed above and may also apply for 24-Hr parking permits issued for around-the-clock parking, including holidays. Specific parameters will apply to student parking permits and can be found on campusexpress.upenn.edu.
