Morris Arboretum School of Arboriculture is proud to be the first in the nation to host the Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualification (TPAQ) training with the new 10th Edition of the Guide for Plant Appraisal on March 14th and 15th. This two day training will provide instruction about the concepts that form the foundation of plant appraisal. Taking this course allows participants to become familiar with the relevant methods and techniques used to approach plant appraisals and the ability to make reasoned judgement about the value of trees and landscape plants.

Robert Wells, Associate Director of Arboriculture Outreach, is one of ten certified TPAQ instructors in the U.S. In August, he took the four-day TPAQ trainer’s course, held in Bethesda Maryland and sponsored by the American Society of Consulting Arborists, which prepares instructors to teach the 10th Edition. For those who are interested in increasing their arborist credibility and knowledge, there is still space in our upcoming class on March 14th and 15th.
