How to Manage Your Food Allergy While at Penn
Penn Dining’s food service provider Bon Appetit has an approach to food is unique in the industry. They are dedicated to providing the freshest, highest quality selections that are planned specifically for each of Penn's cafes. As a result, none of the cafes at Penn operate from a corporate recipe book that outlines all of our ingredients. When you register for a dining plan, you will be prompted to notify us about your food allergy. Our chefs and registered dietitian will then be glad to work with you on your personal choices.
Since everything is cooked from scratch onsite, they can easily tell you what ingredients are in a specific dish and make modifications if necessary. The top eight most common food allergens are present in all Penn Dining cafés. If you have a food allergy, it is important that you talk with the manager at your site about how to safely eat in our café.
