PCC believes in a strong sense of community. This is reflected in our sharing and participation in the needs of the community as well as our acknowledgement of the richness of resources available to us as learners of the community. We incorporate the community into our curriculum through field trips and guest speakers. We view the community as an extension of the classroom.

The curriculum is supported through regular visits to campus locations such as the Penn Bookstore, Penn Ice Rink and Penn Museum. These visits have included meet and greets with published authors, character readings and an up close look at culture and history. The Center often welcomes internal and external visitors such as Penn Transportation, Penn Public Safety, the Philadelphia Fire Department and the Philadelphia Zoo.
